NaNoWriMo

November is National Novel Writing Month! I was looking through SparkNotes earlier when I found this interesting article about NaNoWriMo. If you don’t know what that is it’s basically a site where you can go enter and for the whole month of November you write a 50,000 word fiction novel. Which means you have to at least write 1,667 words a day. That’s intense! It’s a challenge but it still seems like fun. NaNoWriMo is open to all ages. So maybe I’ll join. I have alot of brainstorming to do!

Just before 9, my internal clock woke me up. At 10 I arrived at my church for Korean Class. My class had a quiz on korean proverbs/idioms. From 12 to 1:15 I had cooking electives and we made a pot full of kimchi.

My parents picked me up and we drove over to Costco (again). We ate pizza for lunch and my dad bought a camera. Then I went to the bowling alley with my dad. Each of us played two games. On the first game I got 102 and won by 40 points. As for the second game… let’s just say I didn’t do as well.

My mom’s cousin and her family came over for dinner. BBQ ribs, again. So now I’m just chillin’ in my room and blogging because apparently I have nothing better to do. Nobody’s invited me to do anything with them this weekend :[

Monday Morning 10/12/09

It’s a cold day out! The weather forecast on my computer says it’s going to rain. When I woke up I was freezing. I have to remember to sleep with a warmer blanket tonight.

I woke up early, and I didn’t hit the snooze button! It’s picture day today! Yay? If my picture turns out well maybe I’ll post it up some time. I don’t even know how there going to take the whole class pictures if it really does rain. I have too much time left now so I’m filling it up by blogging.

Last night–more like today morning– I stayed up until 1 AM to finish “The Pretties”. I think it’s a record, I read the whole 370 pg book in 2 days. Just as addicting as “The Uglies”. These books make the Twilight Saga look like nothing. [Unless of course you like reading romance]

So ok BYE!

A stitch in time saves nine.

Meaning:
A timely effort will prevent more work later.

I thought I’d just share this on my blog. Today at Korean school we learned Korean idioms and proverbs. I couldn’t think of many. One came to mind One bird in hand is worth two in the bush. But I can’t believe I forgot about this one. Which now makes me think about whether I should blog everyday about the same old, dull boring life I have or occasionally post all the interesting things that have happen in the past time.

[If you still don't understand the idiom, the origin came from this sewing thing and when they used shortcuts they saved nine stitches but eventually they have to go back and do more work fixing it. . . or something like that]

HairCut

Yesterday after school, my mom took me to the hair salon to cut my hair. Bangs again. But this time they look a bit different. You can compare them to my bangs last year. I think this is better. Why? Because, there’s straight rather than curly all over. The length is cut too but it’s still long enough for me to tie it in a ponytail.

Do YOU agree? Or did you like my hair better before I cut it at all?
